This reading guide provides kindergarten and first grade teachers with a framework within which to teach a specially curated selection of five picture books that address gender and sexuality. Each book's guide includes discussion questions as well as writing assignments and artistic tasks that students can do after reading the book. Each guide also includes book-specific vocabulary, curricular tie-ins, and suggested companion texts.
